An aching sensation in the mouth or jaw. A painful feeling while chewing. Swollen gums. What do all of these symptoms have in common? They all may be indications that you have an abscessed tooth. If you’ve been experiencing any of these symptoms, better schedule a visit to the endodontist at Concho Valley Endodontics.
Our endodontist specializes in getting to the source of the pain, treating it, and ultimately saving and protecting the tooth for years to come. With years of experience beyond dental school, plus expertise gained in practice, our orthodontist has the skills to render excellent results while keeping our patients comfortable. The customer experience our office provides is simply unmatched, from the moment you first contact us, to the moment you leave following successful treatment.
An abscess occurs when the soft tissue inside a tooth’s root canal — known as the pulp — dies and becomes inflamed without being treated. An infection results, with the potential of becoming quite painful. We typically perform a procedure to clean and fill the root canals of the affected tooth, which will later need to be fitted for a crown or another restoration to protect the tooth and allow it to function properly.
Keep in mind that root canal and other procedures are performed much more efficiently and painlessly than in the past. Visits are typically shorter and our patients are kept far more comfortable. Our advanced technology allows us to pinpoint the painful area accurately, and apply techniques that treat it successfully, with our patients facing minimum inconvenience.
Our natural teeth are irreplaceable. Nothing looks, feels, and functions like the real thing. That’s why our endodontist at Concho Valley Endodontics specializes in saving our patients’ original equipment for years to come. If you’re experiencing pain that might be from an abscess, swelling, a cracked tooth, or sensitivity to hot or cold, don’t hesitate to contact us today.
